Easter is a delicate time for bunnies. Some bunnies will find life-long, loving homes, but many others will not. Following Easter many rabbits are surrendered to local shelters, or worse dumped outdoors. At this time of the year, we hope to educate people about the commitment, costs and challenges of choosing a house bunny.
So, we’re very happy to be bringing presentations, and some furry friends to “Meet the Bunnies” at Mama’s Minerals in Albuquerque at their annual Easter Egg Hunt.
Their event includes
- Meet the Easter Bunny
- Each child can find 8 cool rock, fossil and mineral treasures
- Free Face Painting
- Presentations by the New Mexico House Rabbit Society
- Three sessions are available, beginning at 10:00 am, 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
- Egg hunt* is open to children 12 and under (parent / guardians must be present)

WHEN: Saturday April 15, 9:00am – 3pm
*Tickets for the Easter Egg Hunt are $4 and must be purchased from Mama’s Minerals (505-266-8443) in advance.
